Great idea! And important questions to reflect on and ask yourself, especially when, as you say, you make other tradeoffs (I don't have time to cook, so I spent the raise on ordering in). I also think it's important to update your resume as you go with projects or results you achieved too - some organizations ask for that information in application processes and you will forget or get caught in the "uhhh" moment you describe if you aren't reflecting on it.

Totally agree! Especially about updating your resume regularly. I’ve found it really helpful to keep a doc or journal on the side where I note down projects I’ve worked on and the skills I picked up along the way. It makes it so much easier when you're applying to different roles or even just having a casual networking convo. Otherwise, you hit that “uhhh” moment and you can't remember all the good stuff you did when its imp!
